BizSmart Global’s unique entrepreneur product innovation hands-on learning workshop was delivered to 41 high school students on the beautiful campus of the Dubai American Academy February 23-27, 2020. Together with in country partner, Explorars Lab, the BizSmart Global 5 day workshop had students work in teams on product innovation business cases, from leading Silicon Valley CEO’s of hot in the news companies. Student teams selected from three business cases from the following companies: Ekso bionics, PsiBands, and Drobots. In addition, each day, students spent time in the Center for Excellence Robotics and Artificial Intelligence which is led by Director, Sreejit Chakrabarty. Our thanks to Mr. Chakrabarty who made it possible for the workshop students to experience this amazing lab, inspiring them to be very forward thinking when creating their product solutions.
Out of seven teams competing, the BizSmart Global/Camp BizSmart student team, Estimo earned 1st place in the February 27, 2020 competition held at the Dubai American Academy. Estimo team members are: CEO: Noura Al Qaissy, CIO: Joseph Salem, CTO: Mahmoud Takieddin, CMO: Jamal Younis, CSO: Suhai Abdulrahman Yahya Sabrah , and VOC: Karam Yaghi. They selected the Ekso bionics business case which challenged them to create a rehab solution for individuals who had lost function in their hands. Their product, Ekso Glove, is an advanced prosthetic exoskeleton, controlled by brain waves emitted from our minds. The top student, Rebekka Laubenthal, was named the ZOG award winner, exhibiting the qualities of zest, optimism and grit throughout the workshop. Congratulations to Rebekka for earning this prestigious award. Camp BizSmart offers the world’s leading entrepreneurial workshops for the next generation of idea makers and world shakers. The curriculum is hands-on and mentored by CEO’s, Founders and high-level executives of companies who are in the news doing remarkable things that add value to our world. Camp BizSmart product design and pitch competition workshops are available for ages:11-15; an accelerator for those that are age 13-17, and a Master Class for young aspiring entrepreneurs who are 16-19. Locations in Silicon Valley are available for both residential and commuter participants at Santa Clara University. Competitions are held at Microsoft.
