You may have heard that Camp BizSmart is nearly full at all of our Stanford University sessions for this summer with only a few spaces remaining. That is true, and therefore if you wanted to attend Camp BizSmart at Stanford, you better sign up fast as there are only a few spaces remaining at the June 16 and July 7 sessions. The July 28 session is now closed.
If you and your friends have yet to sign up for Camp BizSmart, don’t panic, we have a session just for you!
For the 3rd year, Camp BizSmart’s business and entrepreneur academy has a session at Silicon Valley Community Foundation’s Executive Conference Center in San Mateo on June 16-27, 2014. This session runs concurrent with the June 16 session at Stanford and has the same curriculum and business cases as the sessions held at Stanford University. Students attending at the San Mateo site join the students from the Stanford session at the business plan competition and graduation at Microsoft Silicon Valley, in Mountain View. Wonder if the students who go to the San Mateo site are competitive and driven? Each year after all of the session competitions, one team is crowned the “Top Team” for the year. The San Mateo site has had a team earn this honor, so location is not what indicates how teams will do in the competition, it’s the creativity, persistence, and grit of each team that makes the difference!
Students will be inspired by the founders of Revolights and Vintage Electric Bikes who have worked with the founders of Camp BizSmart to create business cases that will are designed to allow you to develop your skills and create innovative product designs and business plans. Students will work in executive roles in teams to create their solution to the business case and will gain insights from industry experts who will share what they have learned during their careers.
Want to meet the Camp BizSmart founders and learn more about the businesses that are providing the 2014 business cases? Come to TiEcon2014 at the Santa Clara Convention Center on May 16 and 17. But don’t wait to sign up to attend Camp BizSmart. We have filled our sessions earlier than ever this year and therefore the San Mateo session will be full as well before school is out this year. Camp BizSmart makes it possible to work with successful founders and executives who will inspire students to develop and hone their own business skills.
