Announcing the 2018 Camp BizSmart Grand Champion Team for North America – Savioke Team, Driven

After much deliberation the final results are now in. Out of the six, 2018 North American Camp BizSmart Competitions, the Grand Champion Team for 2018 is: Savioke Team Driven, with their product innovation, NeverWait.  These aspiring young entrepreneurs attended the Camp BizSmart entrepreneur academy at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA.  Pictured above is the team presenting at the Camp BizSmart Competition on July 19th at Microsoft in Silicon Valley.  Judges for this competition were: Bill Joos, Paul Witkay, Ed Lambert, and Mythili Sankaran.   A special thank you to Savioke CEO, Steve Cousins for inspiring our Camp BizSmart students to look into the future of robot technology. Camp BizSmart team, Safe Slice, with Innovation Partner Slice, Inc. wins 1st place at July 11-22, 2016 session

The first place team for the July 11-22, 2016 session held at Stanford University was Safe Slice, who chose to solve the business case created by Innovation Partner, Slice, Inc. CEO, T. J.Scimone.  The Safe Slice team was made up of members: Ashley Blair, CEO; Luka Angnos, CTO; Karma Samtani, CIO; Anioha Siucho, CSO/VOC; and Om Suchak, CFO. Safe Slice is an innovative commercial meat slicer designed to prevent injuries while in use.  The goal was to protect workers in the food industry from injuring themselves using  sharp meat slicers.  Their product used the iconic Slice ceramic blade applied in a new product that would address a real problem.  The […]

Keiretsu Forum Angel Capital Expo Honors Top 2014 Camp BizSmart Team

  On November 20, 2014 seven teens took the stage at Microsoft to be honored for achieving the top score in the Camp BizSmart product design and business plan competition out of the more than 30 teams for 2014. They were introduced by Sonja Markova, Keiretsu member who then introduced Peggy Gibbs, COO and Cofounder of Camp BizSmart who thanked both Sonja and Randy with Keiretsu and Microsoft, WAGIC,  Garage Technology Ventures and the Alliance of Chief Executives for their great support of Camp BizSmart’s business and entrepreneur training. Tweenpreneurs inspired to create energy and fitness solutions

Tweenpreneurs attending the Santa Clara University session of Camp BizSmart took on two of the big problems of the day – companies ability to track and reduce their resource useage and childhood obesity. The 4 companies providing business problems in these areas were: Tigo and Hara – energy efficiency solutions and HopeLab and Club One Fitness – health and fitness solutions. New company, iBuild2, provided a mini-design challenge that allowed students to exercise their creativity and design to come up with potential activity kits for children to work with safe tools while learning basic design and building skills. Alliance of Chief Executives Brings Project Sponsors to Camp BizSmart

This year with the support of Paul Witkay, Founder and CEO of the Alliance of Chief Executives, Camp BizSmart challenged 46 aspiring young Silicon Valley entrepreneurs with meaty, interesting and stimulating real life business problems. Alliance members Amit Chatterjee, CEO and founder of Hara proposed an Apple App to track personal energy use; Maigread Eichten, CEO of FRS tasked the teams with designing a new FRS healthy energy drink for teens; and Kevin Surace, CEO of Serious Materials engaged the students by asking them to design a high “R” value classroom to save energy and enhance learning.
