Zapp Knee Brace sponsored by ZEPP Labs takes home first place award for the July 13-24, 2015 Camp BizSmart session at Santa Clara University

The third Camp BizSmart Summer 2015 product design and business plan competition was held at Microsoft Silicon Valley on July 23, 2015.  Student teams brought their best pitch hoping to capture the judges 1st place ranking.  At the end of the day, the ZEPP sponsored team with the product innovation called, “Zapp Knee Brace” was awarded the top ranking of 1st place.  Students who made up the team were: Angela Chu, CEO; Lucas Fonseca, CIO; Rohan Ashok, CTO; Jasmine Syu, CMO & CVOC;  and Cesar Madrigal, CSO & CFO. Keiretsu Forum Angel Capital Expo Honors Top 2014 Camp BizSmart Team

  On November 20, 2014 seven teens took the stage at Microsoft to be honored for achieving the top score in the Camp BizSmart product design and business plan competition out of the more than 30 teams for 2014. They were introduced by Sonja Markova, Keiretsu member who then introduced Peggy Gibbs, COO and Cofounder of Camp BizSmart who thanked both Sonja and Randy with Keiretsu and Microsoft, WAGIC,  Garage Technology Ventures and the Alliance of Chief Executives for their great support of Camp BizSmart’s business and entrepreneur training. Announcing Camp BizSmart’s Top Team for 2014: RevoArc sponsored by Revolights

Alliance of Chief Executives Brings Project Sponsors to Camp BizSmart

This year with the support of Paul Witkay, Founder and CEO of the Alliance of Chief Executives, Camp BizSmart challenged 46 aspiring young Silicon Valley entrepreneurs with meaty, interesting and stimulating real life business problems. Alliance members Amit Chatterjee, CEO and founder of Hara proposed an Apple App to track personal energy use; Maigread Eichten, CEO of FRS tasked the teams with designing a new FRS healthy energy drink for teens; and Kevin Surace, CEO of Serious Materials engaged the students by asking them to design a high “R” value classroom to save energy and enhance learning.
