Camp BizSmart Launches Entrepreneur Academy at Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN

By: Baylor Pillow This June, Baylor School will have the honor of hosting Camp BizSmart, a camp that inspires young entrepreneurs from ages 11-15. The camp will take place from June 11-24 and will be a residential camp. Camp BizSmart was founded in 2007 and has been mentoring young entrepreneurs since 2008, but the summer of 2017 will be Camp BizSmart’s first camp east of the Mississippi River. The founders, Mike and Peggy Gibbs, yearned to provide high-achieving adolescents with the skills, values, and real-life experience of an entrepreneur. Their hard work paid off. What a way to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week!  The Camp BizSmart 2017 Grand Champion team, Atmoband, was invited by Randy Williams, CEO and Founder of the Keiretsu Forum, to pitch on stage at Microsoft, the product innovation design and go to market strategy that earned them the top title out of all teams competing this past summer 2017 in Silicon Valley.   Having the Grand Champion Team appear at the Keiretsu Angel Capital Expo, has been an annual  tradition since 2007, when the Keiretsu Forum became a strategic partner of Camp BizSmart.  Students on the Atmoband team were: R.J. Keiretsu Forum to Honor Camp BizSmart 2016 Grand Champion Team, Atmoband, at Angel Capital Expo Held at Microsoft SV, November 17, 2016

Congratulations goes to the Camp BizSmart grand champion team, Atmoband, whose team members are: CEO, R.J. The excitement has been building and the moment is finally here to announce the Grand Champion Team from among the five teams who finished first in the five competitions this summer at Camp BizSmart in Silicon Valley. While all of the first place winners brought something unique to each of their competitions, the team that rose above all the others was: Team Atmoband, from the July 4-15, 2016 session which was held at Santa Clara University and led by Camp Director Marla Zemanek. Camp BizSmart with Innovation Partner Atmotube announces the 1st place winners in each of the two sessions held at Stanford University on July 25-Aug 5, 2016

Camp BizSmart’s July 25-August 5, 2016 session at Stanford University was so popular that two separate but simultaneous sessions were run this year.  Each session had their own Camp Director and staff.  More than half of the students for this popular session chose the option to stay residential. Camp BizSmart team, Safe Slice, with Innovation Partner Slice, Inc. wins 1st place at July 11-22, 2016 session

The first place team for the July 11-22, 2016 session held at Stanford University was Safe Slice, who chose to solve the business case created by Innovation Partner, Slice, Inc. CEO, T. J.Scimone.  The Safe Slice team was made up of members: Ashley Blair, CEO; Luka Angnos, CTO; Karma Samtani, CIO; Anioha Siucho, CSO/VOC; and Om Suchak, CFO. Safe Slice is an innovative commercial meat slicer designed to prevent injuries while in use.  The goal was to protect workers in the food industry from injuring themselves using  sharp meat slicers.  Their product used the iconic Slice ceramic blade applied in a new product that would address a real problem.  The […]

Camp BizSmart announces Student Team Atmoband, with Innovation Partner Atmotube as 1st place team for July 4-15, 2016 session

The July 4-15, 2016 Camp BizSmart student team Atmoband, was named the first place winning team out of all of the other teams who participated at this session run at Santa Clara University.  Team Atmoband choose the innovation product case to solve that was created by Innovation Partner, Atmotube and CEO, Founder, Vera Kozyr.  They created an easy-to use personal air pollution monitor in the form of a wristband.  The wristband will display the level of air quality and the time.  The original product developed by Atmotube, was a personal air pollution monitor in the form of a small tube that connects to a belt loop or other personal article.
